The chest has 6 coats of lacquer, 5 which are clear, then a final polyester lacquer as a final coat which enhances the products durability. During the lacquering process the boards are coated whilst in a protective tunnel therefore eliminating the possibility of dust being absorbed & spoiling the finish.
